Ruling Value-System: A society’s value-system presupposed by those governed by it which ultimately regulates the decision norms and goals of the society’s dominant social institutions, the individual roles within them, and the thought structure of those internalizing the regulating assumptions and conclusions as givens.
Religion is often the ruling value-system in fantastic form.
