The purpose of the Library is not merely to store information.

It is to make the body of work easier to enter, follow, learn from, share, and apply.

This website began as a living archive.

It is now becoming a Life-Knowledge Commons.

The archive is the river.

The Purpose of the Library

The purpose of this Library is to help knowledge return to life.

It gathers work that asks, again and again:

What protects life?
What disables life?
What has become inverted?
What must be repaired?
What civil commons must be strengthened?
What world are we bringing forth?
What would make life more livable, dignified, participatory, and flourishing?

The Library serves the larger purpose of the Life-Knowledge Commons:
