The Problem
Civilization’s most trusted systems — medicine, education, governance, science — are increasingly delivering outcomes opposite to their stated purposes. These failures are not incidental. They form a systemic pattern of inversion in which institutional rewards incentivize incoherence, punish integrity, and scale dysfunction.
Core Insight
This is not simply a failure of ethics or oversight. It reflects a deeper metaphysical rupture: a disconnection from coherence as the organizing principle of life. Modern institutions no longer recognize or reward resonance, relational intelligence, or pattern fidelity. As a result, coherence is structurally unsustainable within the current paradigm.
Methodology
The paper uses a symbolic–systemic diagnostic lens to analyze:
- Reward inversion across sectors (Section 2)
- Case studies of coherence disruptors like PFAS and glyphosate (Section 3)
- Epistemicide and narrative suppression (Section 4)

Proposal
To reverse this trend, we propose the cultivation of regenerative attractors — fields of relationship, design, and meaning that entrain coherence rather than suppress it. These attractors are not technocratic fixes, but symbolic re-tunings of the civilizational field. They reward life, metabolize anomaly, and protect truth.
Conclusion
Collapse is not inevitable. It is the consequence of sustained symbolic and institutional incoherence. Regeneration is possible — when we re-align systems with the patterns of life, re-honor the sacred logic of coherence, and re-member how to see.
