The global order is at a tipping point. Protectionist nationalism, geopolitical interventionism, multilateral breakdown, and institutional decay all signal the unraveling of coherence across the international system. In this white paper, we explore how these crises are not simply political or economic, but ontological and epistemological — driven by incoherence in values, structure, and meaning.
Two case studies — U.S. protectionism and Syria’s post-conflict struggle — reveal how the global system penalizes life, disables sovereignty, and manipulates public narrative to preserve power asymmetries. Using the TATi Spiral as a developmental and diagnostic grammar, we identify a four-phase breakdown cycle: neglected care (Tend), misaligned narrative (Align), hijacked transformation (Transcend), and blocked integration (Integrate).
To reverse this descent, we propose a regenerative framework built upon:
- Life-Value Onto-Axiology: Coherence is redefined as alignment with sustainable life capacity.
- Triality: All governance must be simultaneously coherent in 1st-person (sovereignty), 2nd-person (diplomacy), and 3rd-person (systems).
- Civil Commons Restoration: Life-essentials must be protected from market logic and weaponization.
- Reparative Partnership: Structural and symbolic dignity must be restored through narrative healing and reparative design.
- Planetary Coherence Instruments: New metrics, simulations, and audit protocols must be embedded in global governance.
This paper concludes with a vision of coherence-centered sovereignty and interdependence, where the legitimacy of all systems is judged not by power or compliance — but by whether they enhance the life capacity of all without exclusion or harm.
