This paper proposes a bold integrative framework that reframes pathology and regeneration alike as expressions of coherence dynamics — patterns of tension and integration that span cells, societies, and ecosystems.
Drawing on four seminal thinkers:
- John McMurtry provides the ethical ground through Life-Value Onto-Axiology, enabling systems to be assessed by their life-coherence function.
- Darcia Narvaez offers the developmental basis, showing how early life environments shape neurobiological integrity and moral potential.
- Riane Eisler maps cultural structures of care and control, revealing a civilizational spectrum between domination and partnership.
- Peter Turchin delivers civilizational modeling tools, identifying cyclic patterns and structural stressors predictive of systemic breakdown.
These are brought into symbolic coherence through the TATi grammar, a four-phase developmental spiral (Tend, Align, Transcend, Integrate) that provides a universal diagnostic and design language.
